We pray for those affected by racism.  At this time in particular we remember our brothers and sisters in Amercia during this time of grief and anger.  May the Lord of Peace being his healing and grace into the affected lives, his light and compassion into the situation and his justice and mercy for those who need to repent.   Gracious lord turn our hearts to you as we seek to be the open, loving, accepting Church, the Bride of Christ who walks in the light and righteouness of the Lord. May our prayers rise to the throne of the living God and be as sweet incense before him. Amen.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, Have mercy on us.

(3 times)
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. Both now and for ever and from all Ages to all Ages.  Amen.
Holy Immortal, have mercy upon us.
Prayer for Peace and Calm
Holy Spirit, please encircle me,
Come hold me safe and secure.
Wrap my mind up with your truth
Guide my thoughts and calm my fears.
Steady my emotions,
Lord that you would guide my feelings,
May I not be overcome by upset.
Sustain my soul,
With vision for the future,
And hope for tomorrow.
I need you.

Almighty God,
as we stand at the foot of the cross of your Son,
help us to see and know your love for us,
so that in humility, love and joy
we may place at his feet
all that we have and all that we are;
through Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Visit this place, O Lord, we pray,
and drive far from it the snares of the enemy;
may your holy angels dwell with us and guard us in peace,
and may your blessing be always upon us;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
